The Top Rank promoter has put forward a list of five contenders to face Tyson Fury in London on Dec. 5, after a trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder couldn't come together.

Tyson Fury’s American promoter Bob Arum has named a five strong shortlist of candidates to face the heavyweight in London this December.

Fury had been expected to take on Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas on Dec. 19, with the pair due to meet for their third fight.

However, putting everything together for the trilogy fight couldn't be completed, and Fury has since declared he has "moved on" from the obligation.

The WBC heavyweight champion’s UK promoter Frank Warren has since claimed he will attempt to arrange a tune-up fight for his boxer on Dec. 5 as part of the card for Anthony Yarde and Lyndon Arthur.

Meanwhile, Top Rank promoter Arum told iFL TV that there were currently five names in the running after a number of fighters had put their hat in the ring for a chance to face Fury.

He said Agit Kabayel, Michael Hunter and Efe Ajagba were all under consideration, with Oscar Rivas and Charles Martin also in the running.

Arum said: “Five guys who are possible. There's Efe, the African is there.

“There's Agit, Rivas is there and there are two others that are there.

“We'll have to pick out, see who's available and pick it out."

Walking away from the Wilder fight might allow Fury to step up his proposed meeting with Anthony Joshua.

Joshua holds the IBF, WBA and WBO belts and is expected to defend them against Kurat Pulev in December.

Assuming he wins the fight, he may choose to vacate the his WBO title in order to skip a mandatory challenge from Oleksandr Usyk, in order to make room for a Fury match-up.
