MMA continues to grow across the planet, and in the Latin American territories a relatively new promotion is already making waves.
Naciones MMA has signed a deal with DAZN, the sports streaming service, to air their big events live worldwide in both English and Spanish (English only for USA).
What is this promotion's story, and what can we expect?

Naciones MMA: History
As the world continued to cope with and evolve past the COVID-19 pandemic and its many effects on live sports, Naciones MMA was co-founded by Eduardo Vargas and Hector Molina.
Vargas, Naciones' CEO, previously held the role of Vice President of LATAM operations and athlete development for Combate America between 2016 and 2020, while Molina founded the longest running MMA promotion in Mexico known as Combate Extremo (2000-2020) before taking on the role of Senior Vice President of Operations at the new company.
Naciones staged their first two events in March and July of 2021, both in Monterrey, Mexico.
When are the next Naciones events?
As of July 18, 2022, the following events are pencilled in for the remainder of the year. They will all air worldwide on DAZN in both English and Spanish (English only for fight fans in the US):
- July 22: Bogota, Colombia
- August: Saltillio, Mexico
- October: Quito, Ecuador
- November: Bogota, Colombia
- December: Monterrey, Mexico
Can I watch Naciones MMA on DAZN?
The promotion will stream live on DAZN worldwide in both Spanish and English (USA fight fans will have access to English language only). You can sign up for a subscription here .
However if you are in Argentina, Chile and Colombia you must download the DAZN app from the Apple App Store or Android Google Play store and then sign up from there, rather than via web browser.

Naciones MMA: Key fighters and records
Humberto Bandenay fought for the UFC from 2017-2019, picking up a Performance Of The Night bonus in his winning debut over Martin Bravo. Bandenay finished off Bravo with a knee strike just 25 seconds into their bout on the Pettis vs. Moreno Fight Night card.
Peru's Bandenay takes on Sebastian Piedrahita in the main event of the Naciones show on July 22. Piedrahita is likely to have the partisan Colombian live crowd backing him all the way in Bogota.
