After becoming the first women boxers to headline and sell out Madison Square Garden in April 2022, Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano won over a new wave of fans with a show-stealing co-main event to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson which reached more than 60 million households via Netflix last November.

As that storied rivalry comes to an end with their trilogy fight Friday night at MSG in New York City, perhaps another rivalry could begin.

PPV - Stevenson vs. Zepeda, Berlanga vs. Sheeraz

Making her Most Valuable Promotions debut, Alycia ‘The Bomb’ Baumgardner (15-1, 7 KOs) will put her undisputed super featherweight world championship on the line against undefeated WBA interim titleholder Jennifer Miranda (12-0, 1 KO) in the co-feature.

Seeing what that spot did for Taylor and Serrano last fall, Baumgardner would like nothing more than producing an eye-opening statement victory that would have her in line to face the Taylor-Serrano 3 winner. The legends are increasingly getting tired of each other and Baumgardner could present either with a new, testy challenge.

“I think anything is possible in boxing,” Baumgardner began telling DAZN News as part of a media scrum following Wednesday’s press conference.

“I know I’ve been very vocal about fighting the winner of that fight and again, it’s all about challenges and moving forward and creating those big fights.”

After all, “creating those big fights” was part of the reason why MVP inked Baumgardner in a splashy signing this past March. At 31-years-old, ‘The Bomb’ is one of the more exciting, skilled and entertaining fighters to watch in the sport today, counting wins over the likes of Christina Linardatou, Mikaela Mayer and Terri Harper to name a few.

Fighting in front of what will likely be the biggest viewership she has ever experienced, Baumgardner knows how crucial not only defeating Spain's Miranda is, but also doing it with style.

An MVP-announced $250,000 bonus for the fight of the night should help her cause.

“It’s important because I was given the opportunity by MVP to be on such an amazing card and as the co-main event it’s important that I go out there and do my job I always do,” Baumgardner concedes, “but make a hell of a performance.”

She adds, promising: “And you guys will get to see that come this Friday.”
