Joshua floats 'friendly competition' trilogy bout with Usyk
Anthony Joshua admits he would relish a "friendly competition" between himself and Oleksandr Usyk in a possible trilogy bout.
The pair played out a gripping duology between 2021 and 2022, with the Ukrainian triumphant on both occasions over the Briton.
Since then however, Joshua has linked up with his old rival-turned-friend, training alongside him after a split from Ben Davison.
The possibility of a third encounter between the two appears subsequently remote, but the star admits he would enjoy it.

"It's up to him," Joshua was quoted by The Ring on sharing the ring with his ex-foe. "But I think it would be amazing, respectfully.
"It's just friendly competition [between us]. Before it was different, there was real animosity but now it’s just friendly competition.”
Joshua was ringside for Usyk's late win over Rico Verhoeven last month in Giza, with the star now preparing for Kristian Prenga.
'AJ' will face the Albanian in Jeddah this July, ahead of a long-anticipated super-bout with domestic rival Tyson Fury later this year.

At one point, the idea of a third bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua felt like a fanciable proposition at best.
But boxing works in mysterious ways. For now, it would still appear to be off the cards, as both men eye other fish to fry.
Joshua's impending dance with Tyson Fury at the end of the year remains the most lucrative encounter he could book.
Yet despite having lost twice before, Usyk would surely bolster the coffers for both 'AJ' and his newfound friend himself.
Perhaps, however, this is one best left to the realm of Rocky III - a friendly encounter behind closed doors for two new pals.
