Whittaker: Benavidez-Bivol 'great fight for the division'
David Benavidez and Dmitry Bivol is a "great fight for the division", according to fellow light-heavweight star Ben Whittaker.
The duo currently hold all four major titles between them, with the former also currently a unified cruiserweight champion.
While Bivol currently faces a mandatory order to defend his WBO strap against Callum Smith, hopes remain for Benavidez.
Speaking to The Ring, rising contender Whittaker admits he would love to see a bout between the pound-for-pound pair.

"It’s a great fight for the division," he said. "I don't know if it will happen [Benavidez] might be fighting at cruiserweight [next].
"If he's sitting around that weight for a while, it will be hard to come down, but it's a fight that a lot of people want to see.
"They've sparred. They've got history, and they’re fighters that are not scared to fight. If it does happen, it'll be great to see."
Whittaker is due to make his stateside debut this month, following April's brisk victory over Braian Nahuel Suarez in Liverpool.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a boxing purist who wouldn't shiver at the suggestion of a David Benavidez-Dmitry Bivol bout.
Both men are among the foremost fighters of their generation, able to switch from clinical surgeons to hard scrappers on a dime.
The problem is that, with the former electing to switch up divisions, each man has so many other fights that whet the appetite too.
Bivol's rumoured trilogy with Artur Beterbiev would surely be another slam-dunk, while Callum Smith wants his major due as well.
For Benavidez, a chance to challenge Zuffa breakaway Jai Opetaia could promise to be a sensational tear-up if the stars aligned too.
