DAZN News rounds up the biggest stories on Saturday, April 25.
Olympic gold medalist Tony Yoka has been offered as a possible opponent for Anthony Joshua's comeback fight in July.Â
Joshua has not fought since beating Jake Paul in December, and was involved in a tragic car accident shortly afterwards, which resulted in the death of two of his closest friends.Â
Since then, Joshua has been slowly preparing both mentally and physically for a return to the ring, with a July warm-up bout ahead of a meeting with Tyson Fury later in the year.Â
There have been no rumours when it comes to an opponent, but after his fight with Lawrence Okolie this evening was cancelled, Queensberry's Head of Boxing Lee Eaton revealed that he has contacted Matchroom, Joshua's promoter, about Yoka facing the two-time heavyweight champion.Â
Responding to a video from Boxing Scene about a Joshua-Yoka fight, Eaton wrote on X, "We have let MR know he's free and available."
A date has been set for a fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Tim Tszyu.Â
Confirmed by Boxing Scene, and first reported by Dan Rafael, the pair will meet on Sunday, July 26 in Australia.Â
For Spence, this would end a three-year absence from the ring after being stopped by Terence Crawford in the ninth round for the undisputed welterweight title.Â
Teofimo Lopez is preparing for a move to welterweight after declining the chance to fight for the vacant IBF super lightweight title against Lindolfo Delgado.Â
Lopez lost his WBO 140lb world title belt in January when he was beaten by Shakur Stevenson in New York.Â
The American confirmed the decision to move up in weight with a post on X.Â
"@GarciaBoxing Go make Mexico proud, my buddy, Lindolfo Delgado! IBF junior welterweight world championship title," Lopez wrote.Â
"Long live Mexico and f—k ice!
"Welterweight division take notice."
