Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch new date confirmed

The rematch between boxing legends Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao has a new date. 

The pair were originally set to meet at the Las Vegas Sphere on September 19.

However, according to a report from Boxing Scene, the pair will now meet on September 26 with the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas a favourite to stage the bout. 

Mayweather and Pacquiao's first encounter took place 11 years ago, with the former winning by unanimous decision. 

World champion Fundora targetting September or October fight

WBC light middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora is set to return in either September or October. 

His promoter Sampon Lewkowicz confirmed the plans in an interview with Boxing Scene, and there could be some big fights on offer. 

Two possible options could be unification bouts. 

Wardley vs Dubois PPV

There is the winner of Xander Zayas' WBA and WBO title defence against Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, or a meeting with IBF titleholder Josh Kelly who is yet to have a date confirmed for his next defence. 

Vergil Ortiz Jr. may also be of interest in what would be a huge all-American bout. 

Wardley-Dubois press conference overshadowed by manager clash

WBO world heavyweight champion Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois faced the media on Thursday ahead of their showdown on Saturday night. 

The fight, which is exclusively live on DAZN PPV and DAZN Ultimate, is a guaranteed barnstormer, but it was their respective managers who stole the spotlight at the final press conference.

Michael Ofo, who represents Wardley, and Sam Jones, who works with Dubois, were involved in an entertaining verbal exchange which dominated the headlines. 

With all the talking done, all that is left to do is for the fighters, to weigh-in, and then trade leather at Manchester's Co-op Live.
