Jake Paul’s preparations for his imminent showdown with Anthony Joshua have seen him pick up a black eye after sparring with Lawrence Okolie.
To help him get ready for this challenge, Paul has brought in numerous top-level contenders, but that high quality sparring has saw him endure some tough moments.
Okolie, a former world champion at cruiserweight and bridgerweight, is currently one of boxing’s highest ranked fighters and he is aiming to become a three-weight world champion at heavyweight next year.
Joining Frank Sanchez and Jared Anderson in Paul’s camp, Okolie was recently revealed to have given Paul a black eye when Adin Ross spent time with the popular YouTuber.
Paul starts his fight with Joshua a massive underdog, but there is no doubt that he is treating the fight seriously judging by his training sessions that are seeing Paul pushed to the limit by several top heavyweights.
Will that be enough when the first bell sounds later this month? Paul is conceding so much size and experience, but he remains confident that he will cause the biggest shock in boxing history if he can secure the win.
