Callum Simpson is riding high once again after dishing out a spot of rematch revenge to topple Troy Williamson on Saturday.
The South Yorkshire star made up for a December defeat against his domestic rival with victory in Leeds this past weekend.
His triumph at the First Direct Bank Arena is more than just a return to British and Commonwealth super-middleweight status.
It is a marker for Simpson in his quest to earn a world title shot - and to take it to Oakwell, home of his beloved Barnsley F.C..

By his own admission, a crowded international division is unlikely to yield results for the star much before the summer of 2027.

When could Simpson fight for a world title?
Under renowned trainer Rob McCracken, Simpson has already set out a timeframe to earn his chance by this time next year.
That sets a direct route map to Oakwell - but more pertinently, gives the star a runway to further rebuild his own reputation.
Defeat to Williamson last year effectively curtailed the star's move towards world level, ensuring he remained a domestic face.
With victory earned against his rival, that trajectory is back on track - but comes with his name only currently ranked by the WBC.
For now, Simpson will need to focus on earning his stripes again in the eyes of the sport's major governing bodies to move on.
Who could Simpson face next?
With four months to go before 2026 is up, there is still ample time for the Briton to squeeze another encounter into his schedule.
That will need to be a judiciously selected opponent if Simpson is to position himself for a title shot too - a foe with serious class.

That could spell bad news for Niall Brown, who has his eyes on the Lonsdale Belt, but may not move the needle enough to fair.
Simon Zachenhuber held his own against Hamzah Sheeraz last month, and could prove a suitable pick to test Simpson's mettle.
Then there is Armando Resendiz, the former WBA champion who lost in his first defence. Could he be persuaded for a dance?
Which champion will Simpson target?
Whatever happens next, if Simpson finds himself in the mix, it will be curious to see where his backers may be able to steer him.
Incumbent WBC champion Christian M'billi faces veteran Canelo Alvarez in October, with neither man likely interested in the Briton.
WBO holder Hamzah Sheeraz meanwhile will have his own eyes on taking the winner there, and could nab a unification encounter.
That leaves WBA star Jaime Munguia and IBF man Osleys Iglesias - and both of those could present fascinating options if inclined.
Either way, much will depend on who ranks Simpson and how highly. Williamson was the first step back - now he must climb again.
