The entire buildup towards the David Benavidez and Zurdo Ramirez WBA/WBO cruiserweight title showdown has been respectful throughout. But would that change as they had their one final staredown ahead of Saturday's DAZN PPV headliner from Las Vegas on Friday at the ceremonial weigh-in?
The answer would be a definitive no. With a mariachi band leading their way to the stage, Benavidez did what he told DAZN News last week, coming in at under 200 pounds as he was 196.8 while Ramirez was bang on at 200.
Benavidez made it clear what he plans on doing to Ramirez and become a three-division world champion.
“I’m gonna obliterate Zurdo Ramirez," Benavidez said at the weigh-in.
