Ryan Garcia locked off the WBC welterweight crown for his first world title success in Las Vegas on Saturday night versus Mario Barrios.
But for the Californian, there are already bigger fish to fry on his plate, with the star wasting no time in calling out Shakur Stevenson next.
The latter, a four-weight world champion who recently picked up the WBO title a division below, is one of his generation's finest fighters.
Garcia, who could also be set to face Conor Benn in his maiden defence, has made no secret of his desire to challenge other big names.
"I feel like I’m always up for a challenge," he was quoted by The Ring in the aftermath of his latest triumph. "There’s always a way to win."
There has been plenty of bite between Leigh Wood and Josh Warrington in the build-up to their rematch - but mostly respect afterwards too.
The former scored a second victory over his rival at Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on Saturday, in a potential swansong for both veterans.
Wood outclassed Warrington comfortably throughout, but stressed he felt he faced a stronger iteration of the man he knocked out back in 2023.
"I think I boxed a better version of Josh Warrington tonight than I did the first time," he said in his post-fight press conference. "All the rest of it.
"He was a little bit more cautious as well. I think if I'd have boxed this Warrington [last time out], I probably would have had a harder fight."
Conor Benn has further opened up on his decision to sign with Zuffa Boxing, ending his long-term association with Matchroom and Eddie Hearn.
Matchroom Boxing
News that the Briton would exit his long-term home sent shockwaves through the sport across the weekend, catching many pundits off-guard.
Hearn was backed by several of his other stars on Saturday night in Nottingham, as talent closed ranks to back the promoter and his loyalty.
Benn however has since expanded on why he signed a reported eight-figure deal elsewhere, telling Boxing King Media: "It wasn't an easy decision.
"It was a decision that weighed heavy on me. But it was the best decision for me and my family, and ultimately an offer I couldn’t turn down."
