Derek Chisora, Deontay Wilder with unusual mic'd up staredown
Ahead of Saturday's heavyweight battle featuring Derek Chisora and Deontay Wilder on DAZN PPV from the O2 Arena in London, the heavy hitters shared the stage on Thursday for the final press conference.Ā
The presser was a mixture of hilarity and seriousness from the former WBC heavyweight champion and the former heavyweight title challenger. "You better bring your heart because I'm going to take it," Wilder told Chisora. "Bring all the pressure you can. I want that. I need that Derek Chisora. Listen, bro, I need you to bring that pressure."
"I'm bringing what I'm bringing," Chisora retorted with a smile.
"Everything and the kitchen sink. I need you to bring all the appliances," Wilder shot back. "I want you to throw the refridgerator if you can pick it up."
"I'm happy you're healed," Chisora said. "I'm coming."
Then Wilder (44-4-1, 43 KOs) invited Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs) down to his native Alabama to hang out, per se. Chisora had a response like only he could.
"When you retire, I want you to come to Alabama," Wilder said.Ā
"I'm definitely coming," Chisora proclaimed. "And we are going to smoke weed."
