Dillian Whyte says there will be no trilogy bout with Derek Chisora as the latter does not want to fight him again as he approaches the end of his career later this year.

Del Boy picked up an impressive victory over Otto Wallin in Manchester on Saturday, billed as his final fight on home turf, and is expected to fight again abroad in 2025.

Whyte meanwhile is set to top a fantastic fight card with a heavyweight clash against Joe Joyce in the same city this April, as he seeks to carry on his good form from 2024.

But any chance he could meet Chisora, who he has twice bested in the ring, as part of the latter's long goodbye, is not on the cards as he believes his foe does not desire it.

"I would love to fight Derek, but he doesn't want to fight me again," he told The Stomping Ground.  He's a war machine. You think he's falling off or dying out, then he goes crazy.

"He's an exciting opponent. It's the kind of fight you've got to be careful in, because the more you hit him, he's some kind of maniac. Some guys like punishment."

Whyte also talked up his bout with Joyce, who is looking to rebuild his reputation as an elite heavyweight following three losses in his last four bouts.

"He's still a top guy, he's still a top contender," he added. "He's tough. He's strong and he's fit. I don't take anything for granted. This is heavyweight boxing.

"We've both come to fight, so it's going to go off. Hopefully it's a good fight. Even the fights I've lost, I've hurt the guys [I have fought]. Nothing's going to change. I've come to fight.

"I'll take it one foot at a time. I make the fight, and I want to fight. I'd love to fight three times this year and be busy. I just have to show up and make sure I'm in good shape.
