'I don't know why!' - Bivol spurns Beterbiev trilogy encounter

Dmitry Bivol reportedly has no interest in a trilogy fight with Artur Beterbiev, having rebuffed offers from IBA president Umar Kremlev.

The light-heavyweight champion earned undisputed status in a gripping rematch against his rival in 2025, months after losing their first encounter.

Yet while hopes were initially high for a third clash, injury forced a delay in any discussions, with Bivol now seemingly keen to move on to new foes.

It has left Kremlev frustrated, with the latter revealing that they have made a succession of high-paying offers in an attempt to persuade the star.

"I'm very disappointed," he told The Ring. "Everyone is waiting for this fight. I don't know why Bivol and his team are not accepting the offer.

"I will do my best to make this fight happen. We've been having discussions with both teams for quite a while. I can confirm that Beterbiev [is] ready for the fight.

"The offer we made to Bivol for the third fight was considerably bigger than the first two fights, Bivol was given two times a bigger offer than in previous fights.

"Beterbiev will fight for free just to make this fight happen. We've made really good offers in writing. But unfortunately, Bivol's team is still waiting for something."
