Floyd Mayweather edges past legendary superstar with controversial points win

Floyd Mayweather will return to the ring in September when he faces Manny Pacquiao 11 years after their first encounter . 

Mayweather's comeback was announced earlier this week, and this will be his first professional fight since beating Conor McGregor in 2017. 

In their first fight, Mayweather outpointed Pacquiao as he maintained his unbeaten record, a ledger that includes many legendary names. 

Oscar De La Hoya is another boxer on that resume, and he squared off against Mayweather in 2007, losing on points in a close battle that had many people split.
