Giorgio Visioli wins first title against courageous Joe Howarth

British prospect Giorgio Visioli claimed his first title on Wednesday night when he beat Joe Howarth to become the English lightweight champion. 

Howarth may not have been as technically gifted as Visioli, but he continued to march forward and maintain a tight defence. 

Visioli on the other hand used his slick footwork to quickly get in and out range which secured him the win on the three judges' scorecards who scored the bout 100-91, 98-92 and 97-93 in his favour.
