Tony Bellew has had numerous verbal interactions with Jake Paul, but what does he think about his upcoming battle with Gervonta Davis later this year?
For weeks, it had been speculated that Paul would be facing Anthony Joshua with Eddie Hearn even confirming that talks were ongoing.
Instead of facing a monstrous heavyweight, Paul will now be facing a lightweight and he will hold sizable advantages over the Baltimore man.
In the last year, Paul has faced Mike Tyson, an event that Bellew gate-crashed, and he has also defeated former middleweight ruler, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Now facing Davis, Paul will go in one of boxing’s biggest names and he will also be facing a fighter aiming to restore his reputation following a disappointing draw against Lamont Roach earlier this year.
Bellew, a longtime admirer of Davis, is confident that the man recognised throughout the sport for his heavy hands will make his power count in the fight.
“Davis wins and I think he wins in style too,” said Bellew when speaking exclusively to DAZN News.
“Obviously it looks like there’s going to be some rules attached to it because it’s an exhibition and I’m almost certain those rules will favour Jake Paul because if ‘Tank’ can go in there with proper gloves on then he will do damage.
“With everything being fair and no restrictions on ‘Tank,’ this will be an easy night for him and he will do a proper job on Jake I think.”
