Jarrell Miller admits his flyaway hairpiece contribute to a tough night against Kingsley Ibeh, as the star eyes up Fabio Wardley again.

The American edged a split decision in his first bout since 2024 at The Ring 6, but not before his toupee had been unexpectedly dislodged.

Miller rallied past the embarrassment to move to a 27-1-2 professional record, while his hairpiece ended up with Wardley for safekeeping.

The two men were originally meant to meet for the WBA interim crown last year, before Miller pulled out of the bout, citing injury issues.

With Wardley now the WBO belt holder, however, 'Big Baby' was keen to issue a call-out, though he acknowledges he must work on himself.

"This is life," he told The Ring. "When you get old, s— happens. It was a tough night. I don't know what's tougher – Ibeh or this s—.

"I definitely had ring rust. You can see that I was falling over with the jab. I was slipping a little bit. The more active I am, the better.

"Kingsley fought twice last year, I didn't. I had a good performance against Andy Ruiz Jr. [in his last fight] that I thought I won.

"[I had] a rough performance against a guy who was active. I dug deep and got the win. Fabio said he wanted to fight in America.

"He might think tonight is an ugly night, but this is boxing. He's had ugly nights before. Let's make it happen.

"It feels good to be back. I know what I need to improve on. I want to heal, try to grow a little bit of hair back and get back in the ring.”
