Josh Kelly would still battle Jaron Ennis per trainer Adam Booth, with the Briton angling for light-middleweight unification.
'Boots' earned the WBA and WBO straps in style against Xander Zayas last month to underline his pound-for-pound threat.
It came after a deal was previously struck for Ennis to meet Kelly once upon a time, before the former went another way.
But now, with three of the division's four major belts between them, Booth told talkSPORT that he hopes to secure a bout.
"Should the Ennis fight be offered to us, and this is in Eddie Hearn's hands, he already knows we'll take the fight," he said.
"It's obvious that Ennis is the favorite for the business, [for] DAZN, for Matchroom. Everyone’s saying that he’s the next pound-for-pound star.
"Great. It's a fight that we've already agreed to prior to them winning the belts and we'll absolutely agree to now that they've both got belts."
Kelly defeated Bakhram Murtazaliev in January to earn his stripes, and is expected to make his first title defence later this month.
