Cameron, Ryan, Holm: Who could be Katie Taylor's final opponent?

Katie Taylor will bring the curtain down on one of the finest careers in women's boxing this summer - but not before one last dance.

The Irish superstar will return to her native country for a homecoming farewell in Dublin, with hopes for a super-bout at Croke Park.

Having most recently completed a trilogy clean sweep against rival Amanda Serrano, Taylor is yet to reveal a date, venue and foe.

But given her reputation and the chance to square off with her a final time, she is unlikely to be short of options she can choose.

From old rivals to multi-sport legends, DAZN News profiles some of the leading candidates for Taylor as she ends her ring career.

Chantelle Cameron

Sometimes, the most obvious answer is the best one - and with Serrano swept away, Taylor may return to her record's lone blemish.

Cameron scored a major scalp when she dethroned 'The Bray Bomber' at the 3Arena in 2023, edging a majority decision triumph.

Taylor had her revenge six months later at the same venue, however. Both women may decide now is the time to settle it for good.

Sandy Ryan

Newly minted as the WBC light-welterweight champion, Ryan is the only other woman bar Taylor who holds a full belt in the division.

The appeal to complete a clean sweep and go undisputed again is something the star will be aware of, especially as she signs off.

Ryan has completed an impressive rebuild since her duology loss to Mikaela Mayer, and would surely relish a shot at Taylor too.

Holly Holm

Few have conquered dual sports quite like the New Mexico native, an assured MMA star as well as a multiple-weight boxing queen.

A loss to Stephanie Han at the start of the year will not have dented her confidence, and Holm represents a major name in the game.

Throw in her own challenge issued to Taylor in the past, and it's easy to see how the maths stacks up behind this one as a mega-bout.
