After returning to boxing in January following a near-year layoff, Keyshawn Davis sensationally stopped Jamaine Ortiz and immediately called out Devin Haney.

As the first quarter of 2026 rolled on, Davis then confronted Abdullah Mason in March at an event to announce Top Rank’s multi-year deal with DAZN.

“I want to fight you later this year,” Davis told Mason to the WBO lightweight world champion’s face, as reported by Ring Magazine.

To that, Mason shot back: “You at 140. When I get there, I’ll catch you. You’re gonna be my first fight at 140.”

While all this lobbying is in the norm for ‘The Businessman,’ Davis admits there is one superstar fighter who would supersede all in magnitude — Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis.

“It’s self-explanatory — he’s ‘Tank,’” Davis told DAZN News during a recent interview over Zoom. “He’s got a big profile.”

Davis fights Nahir Albright in a homecoming rematch Saturday night at Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia, and live on DAZN. The undefeated super lightweight will be trying to push his streak to four straight fights of stopping an opponent who has previously never been knocked out.

Davis did it against Gustavo Daniel Lemos, who Richardson Hitchins couldn’t stop. He did it against Denys Berinchyk who Emanuel Navarrete needed the distance to outpoint. Just this past January, Davis stopped Ortiz with a 12th-round TKO, while Teofimo Lopez and Vasiliy Lomachenko needed the scorecards to edge ‘The Technician.’

The Norfolk, Virginia native believes another stoppage of a fighter who has never been knocked out in Albright and other subsequent exclamation points he’s able to generate will eventually present him with a crack at ‘Tank’ in the near future.

“As long as I keep doing what I’m doing — the stuff people cannot do — I’ll be there,” he said of landing what would be the biggest fight and payday of his career.

‘Tank’ (30-0-1, 28 KOs), a former three-division world champion, hasn’t seen in-ring action since fighting Lamont Roach Jr. to a controversial majority draw in a March 2025 bout that many critics and fans believe the latter did enough to win.

However, his package of boxing ability and explosive power stacked up against Davis’ own sweet science chops and ability to systematically dismantle fighters makes the potential Davis2 matchup all the more alluring.

It gives ‘Thee Amazing’ Keyshawn Davis even more incentive to live up to his newest ring moniker with a dazzling display against Albright. Davis defeated Albright by majority decision back in October 2023, only for the win to be overturned to a no-contest after ‘The Businessman’ tested positive for marijuana.

Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) scored a majority decision over Davis’ older brother, Kelvin Davis, last June on a Norfolk card that Davis was set to headline before missing weight. Albright alleged to ESPN that Davis and his other brother, Keon Davis, jumped him backstage in Scope Arena after the Philadelphia fighter edged their sibling.

With bad blood seeped in, Davis would like nothing more than a scintillating stoppage against Albright.

“It’s going to be amazing,” Davis said. “I got another opportunity to go out there and look great.”

He might need to in order to build the necessary legwork to run down and fire on ‘Tank.’
