British cruiserweight fighter Lawrence Okolie will get back in the ring for the first time in 2021 when he takes on Polish boxer Krzysztof Glowacki for the vacant WBO cruiserweight title.
It marks a return to competitive boxing for the first time since the 28-year-old fighter took on and defeated Nikodem Jezewski in December last year, as part of the card for Anthony Joshua vs. Kubrat Pulev.
Joshua and Okolie are sparring partners and the cruiserweight will be looking to take that pedigree into the weekend's fight, hoping to add the WBO strap to his British and European titles.
His opponent, 34-year-old former WBO cruiserweight champion Glowacki, will want to reclaim his title after more than a year away from the ring. His last fight came in June 2019, when he lost the title for the second time, to Latvian fighter Mairis Briedis.
