Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis ends in wild brawl

Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis ends in wild brawlWasserman
The bout descended into chaos with Logan well on top.

It shouldn't be a surprise that Logan Paul vs. Dillon Danis was not a traditional boxing match.

The co-main event of the MF & DAZN: X Series 010 — The Prime Card was between YouTuber and WWE star Paul and MMA fighter Danis, so no one would've expected the most technical boxing match between the duo. However, Paul appeared committed to taking on his foe according to boxing rules, while Danis seemed none too interested in doing the same.

Instead, Danis defended for almost the entire six-round bout, allowing Paul to throw punches at will. As the end of the fight drew near, Danis dropped all pretense and attempted a number of grappling moves more in line with his jiu-jitsu upbringing — once at the end of the fifth round and then against with an attempted guillotine takedown as the sixth frame wound down.

Paul took exception by swiping at a prone Danis, leading to Danis to lunge at his opponent. That brought security into the ring to sepearate the men, with Danis then taking a swing at one of the security guards and ending the bout.

Then all hell broke loose.

Both fighters' teams entered the fray, including Paul's younger brother Jake, as mayhem took over. Notably, Paul kept himself out of the fracas, instead allowing the dozens  of people who had streamed into the ring to sort themselves out.

When the dust settled, a triumphant Paul had pointed words for Danis.

“He’s supposed to be good at jiu-jitsu, what happened?" Paul said. "He tried to do a takedown, he tried to do a guillotine. I’m sorry I missed that hammer fist. I’m sorry it ended that way. Dillon Danis truly is a coward, just a dirty, dirty human being, but regardless, thank you for coming out tonight."
