Luis Alberto Lopez has sent a vicious warning to Josh Warrington as he gets ready to face the Leeds man for his IBF featherweight title.
The Mexican challenger arrives in Britain with a formidable reputation, and he’s aiming to enhance those credentials when he finally gets his long-awaited world title shot.
In Warrington, Lopez faces his toughest test to date, but still hasn’t deterred him from entering the bout brimming with confidence.
The Yorkshire star has shared the ring with multiple high-level operators such as Carl Frampton and Lee Selby, and although Lopez is grateful for the chance, he’s promising an explosive performance.
“Thanks for the opportunity. It’s great to be here once again, and this time to be facing a champion,” said Lopez at the fight’s final press conference.
“I’ll be winning this title. I’m coming for the knockout, that’s what I’ve come for. He shouldn’t believe what he sees on the videos. I’m a completely different proposition when I’m in the ring and that’s what I’m coming to do. I’m coming to win.”
