The Filipino legend, one of boxing’s greatest ever fighters, was held to a draw by Mario Barrios despite being out of the ring for four years.
At the peak of his powers, Pacquiao, now 46, was undoubtedly the sport’s best fighter for a number of years as he participated in nuneorus high profile clashes.
A world champion in multiple weight classes, Pacquiao blitzed his way through divisions in devastating fashion as he defeated many great names along the way.
Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Miguel Cotto, were just three iconic fighters that Pacquiao stopped in his illustrious career, and after drawing with Barrios, it does not look like his story is just over yet.
A decorated veteran with 73 fights on his record, Pacquiao has been in with some of boxing’s most dangerous operators.
In a career that has spanned dour decades, Pacquiao has pretty much seen and done it all, but who does he consider the hardest puncher he has ever faced.
Pacquiao has been knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez, but he credits Cotto as being the biggest hitter he ever encountered when they clashed in 2009.
“I can still feel some of those punches he threw at me,” said Pacquiao when discussing the matter with The Ring.
“Staying on the ropes is not the best place to be when you are fighting him. He’s also accurate. He’s incredible.”
