'Whoop his ass!' - Mario Barrios wants guarantees on Ryan Garcia form for crunch title clash
Mario Barrios stresses he is relishing a full-strength Ryan Garcia next month, so there are no excuses when he beats him.
The pair next month meet as the former defends his WBC welterweight title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, live on DAZN PPV.
Many favour Garcia to earn his first world crown despite a loss to Rolly Romero in May where he was seemingly undercooked.
Now, Barrios insists he wants the best version of his opponent to show, in order to prove he deserves to retain his title in style.
"This is turning into a circus," he said. "The fight is set for February 21. Everybody knows what I bring when I step in there.
"They say he's focused, that we're going to get a Ryan Garcia at a hundred percent. That makes me happy to hear.
"When I whoop his ass, there will be no excuses. You know what I get when I step in the ring. I don't quit on my knee.
"I always go out there. You're going to get it. The fans are going to get a great fight, and this isn't a fight they'll want to miss."

The mind games will have already started for this blockbuster title bout - but so far, Mario Barrios appears to be keeping his council.
In recent months, the latter has become the division's go-to champion when rivals want to name who they see as the weak link.
Victory in Las Vegas next month against a man several once considered the face of American boxing would quiet the doubters.
Barrios however will know that the circus can get loud. He will have to keep his head down, and his focus sharp to survive this.
