Moses Itauma  underlined his desire to be in the mix for a world title shot alongside Joseph Parker and Agit Kabayel after he demolished  Dillian Whyte  inside one round in Riyadh.

The star needed only two minutes to stop the veteran at the ANB Arena , underlining his credentials as the WBO #1 contender in brutal fashion for the biggest win of his career.

At only twenty years old, Itauma has long been tipped as a future heavyweight champion, and the clamour for him to earn a shot will only grow after his latest major triumph.

Speaking in the ring immediately afterwards, the star thanked his latest foe and underlined how he beat him, while discussing his prospects to be in the mix for a title shot.

"I'd like to say thank you to Dillian Whyte," he told DAZN's Ade Oladipo. "It takes two to tango, so thank you very much for giving me this opportunity to showcase my skills.

"To be honest, I saw him doing exactly what [trainer] Ben [Davison] was telling me, and the nerves kicked in. But after the first minute, I couldn't miss it.

"I executed the gameplan. What's next? Honestly, I'll fight anyone you put in front of me. You shout a couple of names out, I'm there.

"If I'm being honest, Joseph Parker and Agit Kabayel deserve their shot. But I'd love to take that opportunity as well. Chuck me in there with that lot!

"All these fights can happen. It's bigger and better. I'm twenty years old. I've got maybe ten or fifteen years left in this career. There's going to be a lot of this face around."

Itauma could get his wish sooner rather than later, depending on the outcome of Parker's discussions with Oleksandr Usyk over the latter's WBO mandatory defence.

If the Ukrainian elects to vacate the belt rather than contest it, the New Zealander would expect to be elevated for the interim title to become full champion.

That would open the door for Itauma, as the body's top-ranked contender, to be in prime position to challenge for a major strap, possibly before the end of the year.
