Nick Ball admits he does not know much about Sam Goodman ahead of his latest WBA featherweight title defence in Saudi Arabia against the Australian this coming Saturday.
The pair contest the only major title fight on the undercard of Moses Itauma versus Dillian Whyte, set to light up Riyadh's ANB Arena this weekend live on DAZN Pay-Per View
The Briton is looking to mount another successful defence, and will do so against Australian Goodman, who was due to face Naoya Inoue twice either side of the new year.
But speaking at Tuesday's Grand Arrivals, Ball suggested that he is not too familiar with his latest opponent, who has made the step up from super-bantamweight to challenge.
"I don't know much about him," he said. "I don't really study my opponents. I just see them in the night. It's straight in there, straight to it. I just see what I've got to do on the night."
Goodman however was more emphatic on his prospects, laying down his plans to finally secure a world title after his previous shots slipped away due to bad luck with injury.
"I'm feeling great," he added. "I'm stoked to be here and I'm ready to do the job, do the business. I'm prepared well, I've prepared hard and I'm ready to shock the world.
"This is a lifelong goal and a lifelong dream. Me and my team have worked relentlessly towards it. I'm going to absolutely right go through him, that's what I'm going to do."
Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte is live and exclusive on DAZN PPV this Saturday, August 16. Watch the PPV for free by purchasing a DAZN annual subscription (exc. US).
