Oleksandr Usyk is the latest face of boxing to partner with the Moncler Conglomerate for the brand Stone Island.
This isn’t the first time Usyk and Stone Island have had a collaboration - their first partnership saw Usyk walk to the ring in his fight against Daniel Dubois in a custom parka made of Stone Island’s metallic-colored nylon with mesh lining, and a bespoke pixelated camo pattern representing his family.
Oleksandr appeared in the Stone Island Autumn / Winter ‘25-’26 campaign, captured wearing the 4100079_Uneven Ripstop Prismatico.
The campaign is centered around 'Community as a form of research' defining the effort with Usyk specifically as 'An ongoing exploration of the subcultures that make up the global Stone Island community'.
This isn’t new to the sport of boxing - over the years we’ve seen the biggest stars team up with the largest names in the fashion industry to bring in fresh ideas and looks into the ring.
From custom boots, shorts, and entire fight kits - these are some of the most memorable moments from recent years :
On the night Terence Crawford became the first male boxer in the four-belt era to hold undisputed titles in three weight divisions, with a win over Canelo Alvarez in what Netflix is calling the "most-viewed men's championship boxing match this century,” a different kind of history was also made. That night became the first time Off-White, the luxury fashion house founded by the legendary late Virgil Abloh, had entered the boxing ring.
Bud entered wearing an outfit inspired by Antonio Banderas’ character in the 1995 film Desperado. The boxing shorts and robe were both crafted from black velvet and Duchesse satin, over 1,000 Swarovski crystals in various sizes hand-embellished across the bespoke fight kit.
On that same legendary night, Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, had a similarly style-minded outfit. As in previous fights, he wore a one-of-one fight kit created by Los Angeles luxury fashion house AMIRI.
Canelo wore a hooded robe and matching shorts in rich velvet. In homage to Alverez’s home country of Mexico, the national tricolor of green, white, and red is used as a border of crystals detailing both, embellished with gold fringe and once again embroidered with Canelo’s insignia and the MA Monogram.
Gervonta Davis has been known for many in-fight collaborations with a collection over luxury brands. Across the board, from Human Made, Denim Tears, and to Chrome Hearts.
Beyond the ring, we've seen Tank training with his own custom Chrome Hearts boxing gloves by Winning, as well as a custom Chrome Hearts heavy bag. (Although, he has recenltly publicly stated he is no longer supporting the fashion giant)
With many of these collaborations proving successful, there seems to be no limit on the future of high-end fashion labels choosing their favorite professional athletes - and that future extends into the sport of boxing seamlessly.
We're excited to see what other great collaborations can come out of the fashion and boxing world - a lot of magic can happen when you combine great minds together to make something unforgettbly special.
