Regis Prograis is a fighter which has experienced it all.
From being at the top of the super lightweight division to having to rebuild, Prograis has shown immense hunger and desire during his career which some fighters struggle to match.
Now he is set to reap the rewards of reaching the top of the 140lb division once more when he fights in his home city of New Orleans for the first time since becoming the WBC super lightweight champion.
DAZN takes a look at the career of Porgrais below.
Regis Prograis boasts a 28-1 professional record with 24 of those wins coming by way of knockout.
Regis Prograis has been a world super lightweight champion on two occasions.
He was once the WBA world super lightweight champion in 2019 and recently became the WBC world super lightweight champion last November.
Regis Prograis was gaining a reputation for himself as world level contender after becoming a part of the World Boxing Super Series super lightweight tournament.
After beating Terry Flannagan in the quarter-finals, Prograis now faced WBA 140lb champon Kiryl Relikh for a spot in the final.
In the build-up to the contest, Relikh was seen as the underdog, while Prograis was considered the favourite and he justified that tag with a dominant performance before knocking out his opponent in the sixth to win his first world title.
After losing to Josh Taylor three years prior, the future looked bleak for Regis Prograis, but he was given a lifeline when he was brought in to face Jose Zepeda for the vacant WBC super lightweight title.
The pair went head-to-head in a huge fight outdoors at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California in what was an entertaining contest.
In the end, it was Prograis who would come out on top with an eleventh-round knockout against Zepeda and made a statement to the rest of the super lightweight division that he wasn't done just yet.
