DAZN
Watch Garcia vs Romero Friday live on DAZN PVV

"The Flash" Ryan Garcia has built quite a reputation for himself in the past few years with his recent antics and he has drawn in viewers from all around the world, whether it's tuning in to watch him win or lose.

Fighting out of Los Angeles California, the American was last seen in action in April 2024 against WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney, however the title was not on the line due to Garcia missing weight.

Being a big underdog, Garcia originally was victorious, winning the fight via unanimous decision, however, unfortunately for team Garcia he later tested positive for a banned substance and received a lawsuit from Haney with a one-year suspension from boxing.

Garcia has returned to training at Reynoso boxing gym in San Diego, California with his former coach Eddie Reynoso after briefly breaking off to train with his father. He is the former training partner of Mexico's WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight champion Canelo "Saul" Alvarez. Garcia has recently moved to Derrick James.

Ryan Garcia's next fight

Ryan Garcia is getting ready for his comeback after a one-year layoff due to his suspension and will headline a PPV taking on Rolando "Rolly" Romero on May 2nd.

Ryan Garcia form

Ryan Garcia has won 24 out of his 26 bouts with only one defeat and a no contest, he has looked very sharp in his last two bouts.

Despite the controversy and Garcia facing adversity with the failed drug tests, "The Flash" looks to make a statement on May 2nd to show he is still up there with the best in the world despite his time off following his ban.

In his last bout against Devin Haney despite it being a no contest there was no denying Ryan Garcia was the better boxer than night, showing a beautiful display of hand speed and technical boxing, he dropped, hurt and visibly shook Devin Haney.

Garcia has shown he is no stranger facing adversity showing this when winning his comeback fight against Oscar Duarte in the 8th round following his defeat to Gervonta Davis in 2023 and recovering from being dropped and badly hurt by Luke Campbell then proceeding to stop Campbell in the later rounds.
