Ryan Garcia has announced that he is set to make a huge announcement at the first press conference for his fight with WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney on Tuesday.
The pair will meet in the ring on April 20 live on DAZN, but the build-up to this huge contest will begin with two press conferences next week.
The first takes place in New York on Tuesday, and Garcia took to social media platform X to tell fans the announcement will be one they will not want to miss.
"I have a surprise for NY during the press conference...a new teammate," Garcia wrote.
"Trust me when I say you don't want to miss these press conferences."
Whatever this announcement from Garcia, it will add to what is already turning into a heated rivalry.
After a history of meetings in the amateur ranks, this will be the first time Haney and Garcia will go head-to-head in the professional ranks, and the rivalry between the two is brewing after they traded verbals in the media centre at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas earlier this month.
