Ryan Garcia was critical of Terence Crawford's outburst last week after he was stripped of his WBC super middleweight title.
During the WBC convention, it was announced that Crawford would no longer be the undisputed champion after failing to pay his sanctioning fees for his last two fights against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez in September, and Israil Madrimov last year.
After the news became public, Crawford voiced his grievances on Instagram and took issue with WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman.
Crawford's stance against one of boxing's sanctioning bodies has been applauded by many, but Garcia was not afraid to find a flaw in the 38-year-old's actions.
Appearing on the latest episode of Inside the Ring, Garcia would have preferred for Crawford to have made this stance before becoming the pound-for-pound star he is today.
"Crawford should have talked his talk before. When he needed them, he wasn’t talking like this," Garcia said.
"Now he’s got the money, he thinks ‘I don’t need the WBC to get me an opportunity’. Now I’m going to say, f—k you all’.
"To me, that’s a little cowardice on his part."
While Crawford may not hold the WBC in high regard, Garcia certainly does as he is set to compete for the WBC title in his next fight.
Despite losing in his welterweight debut against Rolando Romero in May, Garcia is set to face WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios next with February 2026 being reported as the date for the all-American contest.
