Andy Ruiz hopes to get back into the mix for a heavyweight title challenge when he faces the experienced Luis Ortiz on Sunday night.
The pair will fight at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, with the 43-year-old Ortiz a perennial fixture in the heavyweight rankings.
The Cuban stopped Charles Martin in the sixth round back on New Year's Day at the end of last year, while Ruiz most recently defeated Chris Arreola in May of 2021.
The winner will hope to be in contention for a title fight once the four belts fragment should the Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury fight go ahead in the coming months.
