Trainer Mark Tibbs is confident that one of his former fighters, Dillian Whyte, can cause problems for rising heavyweight Moses Itauma.
The two will meet in Riyadh on August 16 live on DAZN PPV, in a huge domestic matchup.
Whyte is no stranger to fighting on the big stage, and Tibbs was in his corner for an impressive 11-fight winning run after losing to Anthony Joshua in 2015.
The likes of Dave Allen, Derek Chisora and Joseph Parker have all been beaten by the Whyte-Tibbs partnership before they parted company in July 2020.
Speaking to The Ring, Tibbs is hoping Whyte's experience can put him in a strong position against one of boxing's most devastating punchers.
"I wish him all the luck in this fight, I hope he can do it," Tibbs said.
"We touched base a couple of days ago, he looks in fantastic condition, he looks in really good shape. He’s an old, experienced dog. He’s got some tricks up his sleeve which I hope he can get off.
"But Moses is a good fighter, a good, fresh fighter. If Dillian can get mid-range and do what he wants to do, he can show him one or two tricks and maybe drag him into deep waters."
Since being knocked out by Tyson Fury three years ago, Whyte has returned to winning ways and will arrive in Saudi Arabia on the back of a three-fight win streak.
However, those wins have come against Jermaine Franklin, Christian Hammer and Ebenezer Tetteh, fighters who many would see as being a level below Itauma.
If Whyte is to remain a serious contender in boxing's glamour division, then an impressive win is paramount against Itauma who is being touted as a future face of boxing not just in Britain, but across the world.
