Terence Crawford was not going to miss his chance for an up, close and personal scouting report on Canelo Alvarez.

The pound-for-pound great was ringside at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night, exclusively on DAZN PPV worldwide, to see Alvarez take on William Scull.

"Canelo is the guy we got our eyes on," Crawford began telling DAZN's Claudia Trejos ringside prior to the Alvarez-Scull fight.

When he was asked whether his proposed fight against Canelo would be the biggest fight in boxing history, "Bud" Crawford had this initial retort: "I'm not going to say the biggest fight in boxing history but I am going to say the biggest fight in the last decade."

He did, however, confirm that their fight will be in September.

The clash will pit two of the best fighters of their generation against each other as future lock Hall of Famers. Crawford, already an undisputed king in two different weight classes, will be ready for it when the time comes.

"I'm very hungry," Crawford said. "I wanted this fight because this is going to solidify myself in the greatness status."

He tacked on: "Take big chances, big opportunities ... that's what I'm all about."
