Chicago Bears rookie makes highlight reel play on preseason debut against Tennessee TitansN/A

The Chicago Bears got their preseason off to a good start by beating the Tennessee Titans at Soldier Field on Saturday.

There were several big plays in the game, including a first touchdown for the Bears for DJ Moore and an impressive run and score from running back Khalil Herbert.

But it was another running back that Bears fans were excited to see for the first time, and rookie Roschon Johnson did not disappoint.

The Texas product, drafted with the 115th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, had twice as many carries than any other Bears player on Saturday with 12.

Johnson totalled 44 yards on his debut, a big chunk of which came on one play which highlighted the rookie's strength and ability to break a tackle.

Johnson powered through a crowd of bodies and bounced off tackles as he kept the Chicago Bears' drive going which would ultimately result in a field goal.

The rookie will have plenty of competition for touches in 2023, with the aforementioned Herbert, D'Onta Foreman and Travis Homer also on the depth chart in Chicago.

Johnson is not guaranteed playing time in the regular season, but more standout plays in preseason will not help his cause.
