We may be half a year out from the 2026 NFL Draft, but scouting season never stops. Some college stars are making a strong case for early first-round consideration, while others are slipping down the board.

Here, I break down which players are rising, which are falling, and the NFL teams most likely to need their talents.

NFL Game Pass ROW

Dante Moore, QB, Oregon - Stock up

Moore is leading our Heisman Trophy race for a reason . He's been prolific through six games, accounting for 14 touchdowns and only one interception while guiding Oregon to a perfect 5-0 start.

After passing the test against Penn State almost two weeks ago, Moore has another big exam in front of him on Saturday when the Ducks square off against No. 7-ranked and fellow 5-0 team Indiana.

NFL teams will be falling over themselves to draft him next April if he keeps up this pace.

Which NFL team needs him?

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has enjoyed a fine start to the season, but at 41, his days in the NFL are numbered. He's been contemplating retirement for a while, but this time, it feels like a reality .

Rueben Bain Jr., Edge rusher, Miami - Stock up

Bain has entered the discussion to be the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. He continued to state his case for that honor last Saturday in Miami's win against No. 25 Florida State with four tackles.

Through five games, the 6'3", 270-pound powerhouse has amassed 26 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble, an interception, and a pass defended , tempting daft maven Todd McShay to gush about his talent.

"He looks like a freight train rushing off the edge," raved McShay. "He flashes impressive burst, bend, and flexibility for his frame and is an absolute nightmare for offensive tackles on passing downs because of his power as a rusher," he added.

Which NFL team needs him?

Everybody can use an elite edge rusher. But this designation goes to the Tennessee Titan s, who rank 31st in sacks, and after allowing Harold Landry to leave in free agency, have very little talent at the edge spot. What's more, after starting 0-4, they seem likely to be near the top of the draft board, where Bain should be in contention.

Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State - Stock up

Tyson has proven to be the best wide receiver in college football up to this point in the season for the No. 21-ranked Sun Devils. He's got 39 receptions for 483 yards and nine touchdowns. Tyson's averaging 12.4 yards per reception.

Which NFL team needs him?

Many teams could use Tyson's talents. The New York Jets are a no-brainer. Garrett Wilson is really their only viable option. Justin Fields should be their franchise quarterback, and he definitely needs some help.

Archie Manning, QB, Texas - Stock down

Manning, the nephew of Payton and Eli and grandson of his namesake Archie, entered 2025 with huge expectations on his shoulders. Many even considered him among the favourites for the Heisman Trophy.

His 2025-2026 campaign got off to a slow start, and it just keeps getting worse. His stats don't scream, 'Draft me in the first round'. When it comes to big games, Manning hasn't been up to snuff. In last week's loss to Florida, Manning went 16 of 29 for 263 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions.

At this point, it would be wise to return to college for another season and attempt to improve his stock before declaring in 2027.

Which NFL team needs him?

If he goes against the advice of his grandfather and enters the 2026 NFL Draft , the Saints could be in play. New Orleans may wish to see what they have in Tyler Shough before they make that decision.
