Rookie running back Omarion Hampton, the Chargers' first-round pick, will be hoping to mark his NFL debut with a strong performance.

The Chiefs will be without star wideout Rashee Rice, suspended for the first six games of the season, and will perhaps turn to legendary tight end Travis Kelce and dynamic speedster Xavier Worthy to help stretch the field.

Prediction

The Chiefs will once again prove too strong for the Chargers, who will struggle to get going offensively without injured left tackle Rashawn Slater.

Mahomes will be efficient, if unspectacular. After building an early lead, the Chiefs' offense relies on short, high percentage throws and leans on their running game, led by Isiah Pacheco.
