The Denver Broncos snapped a two-game slide in emphatic fashion on Monday Night Football, rolling past the Cincinnati Bengals 28–3 while hitting a pair of milestones.
J.K. Dobbins became the team’s first 100-yard rusher since 2023, and head coach Sean Payton drew level with his mentor Bill Parcells on the all-time regular-season wins list.
The Broncos wasted no time getting rolling at Mile High, with quarterback Bo Nix running in the opener before Marvin Mims added a second.
Rookie linebacker Demetrius Knight Jr. briefly lifted Cincinnati’s spirits with an interception in the end zone.
However, Courtland Sutton extended the lead to 21–3 before halftime, and Rookie R.J. Harvey iced it in the fourth, scoring his first career touchdown to put the game out of reach.
The Bengals clearly miss Burrow, and not even Ja’Marr Chase’s presence has been enough to spark an offense that looks lost without its leader.
In Burrow's absence, Denver's defense dominated, led by another excellent effort from edge rusher Nik Bonitto, who now has 4.5 sacks on the season.
But the story of the night was the Broncos' offense. With Dobbins churning out 101 yards and Harvey adding 58, Denver powered its way to 186 yards on the ground and 512 in total.

Climbing back to 2–2 was the real prize on Monday night, but Denver’s win carried extra meaning. J.K. Dobbins shattered a long-standing drought, becoming the first Broncos running back since Latavius Murray in the final week of the 2022 season to eclipse the 100-yard mark.
For Payton, the performance was as encouraging as the result. “Both of them got in good rhythms,” the coach said of his backs. “Those guys both ran hard.”
Payton also had reason to reflect. The victory not only brought his team to within one game of the AFC West but also tied him with his mentor, the legendary Bill Parcells, on the all-time regular-season wins list .
The Broncos were our dark horse pick heading into the season . With a balanced offense, a tough defense, and a coach hitting his stride, they now look like a team beginning to deliver on that promise.
