The NFL Scouting Combine dominates the headlines during draft prep season, but the evaluation doesn’t end in Indianapolis.

Throughout March, scouts fan out across the country to attend college pro days, where prospects go through testing and on-field drills in front of NFL teams.

For many prospects - especially those who skipped Combine workouts - it’s the last real chance to boost their stock before the 2026 NFL Draft rolls around.

Below are the pro day storylines DAZN News will be covering, along with the full remaining schedule and the top prospects participating.

Top five pro day storylines to follow

1. QB Fernando Mendoza headlines Indiana pro day

After opting out of on-field drills and workouts at the NFL Combine, all eyes will be trained on Mendoza's performance at Indiana’s pro day on 1 April.

Frankly, considering how talented Mendoza is and how quarterbacks typically dominate the top order in drafts, it's almost impossible to conceive how Mendoza could bomb so hard that he won't hear his name called first in the 2026 NFL Draft.

2. Rueben Bain out to silence arm-length doubts

Bain's 30 7/8’’ arms became the talk of the Combine. That’s a historically small measurement for a player considered to be a first-round talent.

With that said, Bain's talent, athleticism, and production cannot be ignored. He'll be keen to prove why NFL teams should prioritise those traits over his physical measurements.

If he approaches Miami's Pro Day on 23 March with the same dialled-in mindset he displayed at the Combine, his draft stock should rebound.

3. Can Jermod McCoy prove he's fully healthy?

After tearing his ACL in December 2024 and as the NFL Combine approached, Tennessee CB Jermod McCoy said, "I was doing everything, practising, everything. I just didn't feel ready yet."

Despite missing the entire 2025 season, McCoy is so talented that he remains a near lock to be selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Teams and fans will be anxious to see if he still looks as explosive at Tennessee’s March 31 pro day as he did before the injury.

4. Malachi Fields looks to answer speed concerns

At 6'4 1/2 and 218 pounds, Fields has the size that NFL teams covet in a wide receiver. But is he athletic enough to excel at the pro level?

Everyone knows Fields is no burner, but after running a 4.61 40-yard dash at the Combine with the worst 10-yard split among all WRs, it raised concerns.

The 23-year-old will be keen to improve on those numbers at the Fighting Irish's pro day on 24 March.
