The first week of the 2025-2026 NFL season is in the books, which you can rewatch every game with NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excl. US and China).
We saw some upsets like the Vikings coming back to defeat the Bears, and the Chargers beating the Chiefs. We also saw some surprises in 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers leading the Steelers to a come-from-behind win over the Jets. But also teams that stayed the course, like the Eagles beating the Cowboys last Thursday.
DAZN News is going to start a weekly power rankings series and see how each stacks up for what should be an entertaining NFL season.
1) Philadelphia Eagles (1-0): A win is a win for the reigning Super Bowl champions. Jalen Hurts played well and hopefully head coach Nick Sirianni can get Jalen Carter to not get ejected, as they are going to need him going forward.
2) Buffalo Bills (1-0): Have to imagine the miracle win over the Ravens isn't how Bills fans drew it up in their minds. The win did show that Josh Allen has perhaps become the best quarterback in the league.
3) Green Bay Packers (1-0): A defense that now matches up with the offense is a scary proposition for the rest of the league.
4) Washington Commanders (1-0): Deebo Samuel proved to be a valuable addition for Jayden Daniels with seven catches for 77 yards and a touchdown as the Commanders were missing Terry McLaurin. We'll learn a lot about them this week as they travel to Green Bay for Thursday Night Football.
5) Baltimore Ravens (0-1): Yes, they blew a 15-point lead with four minutes to go and let a golden opportunity slip away to make a definitive statement. But they still are one of the best teams in football and will rebound.
6) Los Angeles Chargers (1-0): They showed out on the big stage against the AFC champions. Jim Harbaugh has made Justin Herbert into an assassin.
7) Kansas City Chiefs (0-1): For people who will be upset by this spot, they lost to the team right above them. We will learn a ton about them this week as they host the Eagles in a Super Bowl LIX rematch.
8) Los Angeles Rams (1-0): The offense is back with the addition of Davonte Adams, and this defense, even without Aaron Donald, is really good.
9) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0): Baker Mayfield may not have been at his best, but they still got the job done.
10) Minnesota Vikings (1-0): Things weren't looking good for the purple and white, trailing by 11 in the fourth quarter and getting outplayed on both sides of the ball. Then the defense reminded everyone why they are among the elite, and J.J. McCarthy outplayed Caleb Williams with poise and moxy to come back and prevail over the Bears.
11) Detroit Lions (0-1): Not the start many were expecting. You could tell they really missed former offensive coordinator Ben Johnson as the offense was out of sync the entire game.
12) Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0): Aaron Rodgers showed for at least Week 1 that he's still Aaron Rodgers with four touchdown passes.
13) Denver Broncos (1-0): The defense was the difference in their win over the Titans. Bo Nix will need to play better for them to have any success.
14) San Francisco 49ers (1-0): An impressive win over a division rival on the road without George Kittle for half the game. Now, they are without Kittle for the next few weeks, who has a hamstring injury, and could also be without QB Brock Purdy for this week's game.
15) Houston Texans (0-1): They are in a ton of trouble if the defense can't get its act together.
16) Cincinnati Bengals (1-0): The Joe Burrow-led offense didn't play anywhere close to its potential. Luckily, the defense, yes the defense, played extremely well in the fourth quarter to bring home the W.
17) Indianapolis Colts (1-0): If Daniel Jones plays like this for the majority of the season, watch out.
18) Arizona Cardinals (1-0): They beat a Saints team that isn't very good. But the Cardinals aren't very good either.
19) Atlanta Falcons (1-0): After rewatching the tape, the Falcons will be kicking themselves (new FG kicker, anyone). That was a game they should have won, especially since it was at home.
20) Jacksonville Jaguars: (1-0): The defense, even with Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter playing only six snaps on defense, played well.
21) Dallas Cowboys (0-1): The offense is still a little shaky, but the defense, even without Micah Parsons, held up and kept them in the game against the Super Bowl champions.
22) Las Vegas Raiders (1-0): If Geno Smith plays like this every week, the Raiders will surprise many teams in the AFC.
23) New York Jets (0-1): Justin Fields played very well, and the offense will continue to get better each week with him under center. However, the defense needs to get better and quicker. Aaron Glenn will get them there in time.
24) Chicago Bears (0-1): A shocking turn of events in a span of 15 minutes. You can't blow double-digit leads when all the pieces aren't there yet. Ben Johnson got outcoached at every turn, Caleb Williams looked out of his element, and the defense got streamrolled by a guy playing in his first NFL game in J.J. McCarthy. The Bears have a short turnaround, and they have plenty of questions to answer.
25) Seattle Seahawks (0-1): A hard loss at home against a division rival, who had one of their top offensive weapons on the sidelines for the bulk of the second half.
26) Cleveland Browns (0-1): The Browns were in the game until the very end. Now, they just need a FG kicker, and they might be alright. There's hope in Cleveland.
27) New England Patriots (0-1): They could use some of the Bill Belichick magic.
28) Tennessee Titans (0-1): No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward played ok but he didn't get a lot of help, especially from Calvin Ridley, as the Titans were in the game and had a chance to tie the game in the final minute.
29) Carolina Panthers (0-1): A team that needs a new quarterback and basically everything else.
30) New Orleans Saints (0-1): Feel bad for Alvin Kamara, whose talents are being wasted away.
31) New York Giants (0-1): When will the Giants bench Russell Wilson and begin the Jaxson Dart era?
32) Miami Dolphins (0-1): Things can only go up for the Dolphins, who played by far the worst football this past week as they got blown out 33-8 to the Colts.
