As a new National League season is about to get underway, the teams are ready to go sporting their new strips.

You'll be able to see over 400 National League games live on DAZN this season, as it continues to be the home for England's fifth tier.

DAZN News have ranked every 2026-27 National League team's home kit from worst to best, but who's getup will claim the top spot in our countdown?

National League

24. Forest Green Rovers

Aligning with the ethos of the club, Forest Green have reused their kit from last season, so they are at the bottom of the rankings.

In truth, they probably would have made their way down here anyway.

Credit to them for creativity, but the leopard print getup is a bit of an eyesore.

23. Wealdstone FC

Another team donning the same garments as last year.

Pinstripes feel quite rare nowadays, so well done to Wealdstone for trying to keep them alive.

It's a nice kit from Kelme, but unfortunately it isn't new.

22. Worthing FC

Worthing are also reusing last season's threads.

Why would you change it? In all fairness, it looks great.

Very Bayern Munich-like, especially with the badge; hopefully for Worthing they play like them too.

21. Sutton United

Sutton's design certainly strikes you, as does the sponsor, literally.

But the kit looks a mess; it would look much better if the pattern wrapped around the shoulders.

There are quite a few yellow and black kits in the league this season, but this is definitely the worst.

20. Hornchurch

This one can best be described as one of the National League kits.

It's red, has a bit of white with a sponsor, badge and manufacturer.

Sorry Hornchurch, but it's very dull.

19. Carlisle United

Carlisle are back with Macron, and they have made a lovely strip and should be higher; however...

The sponsor lets the whole kit down and looks massively out of place.

If you ignore the sponsor, then it is one of the best, unfortunately, the sponsor is there.

18. Altrincham

The Robins have tried to be more creative with their stripes by moving them to the sides, but it doesn't really work.

It just looks a little bit strange in all honesty.

Feels like there should be something more down the middle, perhaps the badge and Puma logo would work better there?

17. Yeovil Town

Yeovil have stuck with their distinct green look, but this doesn't quite hit the mark.

We're struggling to understand what the idea was with green lines dashing about the chest, but it just makes it look chaotic.

It just looks like a goalkeeper kit more than anything else.

16. AFC Flyde

Not a particularly exciting kit this one, but it does the job.

The red, white and blue go well together, but that is about as much praise you can give.

Not really much else to it.

15. Woking

A boring red and white half-and-half outfit for Woking this year.

It lacks any sort of creativity and being half and half is all it really has going for it.

More invention needed from Woking.

14. Kidderminster Harriers

Back-to-back red and white half and halves.

Kidderminster just edge out Woking due to the sleeves swapping colours, which makes it look just a little bit more unique.

Also having a red and white sponsor looks much better than Woking's black one.

13. Tamworth FC

The third red and white kit in a row.

It is a simple design, but I like it, something about collars on a kit just elevates them a level.

Would have been higher if there was more creativity to it.

12. Boston United

Another simple kit, but Boston pull it off quite well.

The yellow and black goes well together and extra marks for pinstripes.

A steady effort from Boston.

11. Aldershot Town

A very colourful one from Aldershot this season.

The red and blue certainly make the kit stand out, plus the collar adds a classy touch to the strip.

You could pick out someone wearing this from a mile away.

10. Harrogate Town

The Sulphurites are back in the National League after a six-year stint in the EFL.

The pattern is unique and the classic black and yellow look come together to make a pretty solid getup.

Teams this season seem to love using the pixelated look on their kits for some reason.

9. Scunthorpe United

The unmistakable colours of Scunthorpe make this kit always stand out.

The V on the chest is a unique design and having bits of the club's identity woven into the kit is a great touch.

However, the kit manufacturer MEYBA weaving their logo onto the design of the kit, I am not a fan of.

8. Halifax Town

The Shaymen have global giants Adidas creating their threads once again this year.

And they have done an okay job with it, the light and dark blue along the white gives a strong look.

It does look more like a training kit than a matchday one though.

7. Hartlepool

Blue and white stripes nearly always look good on kits, and Hartlepool is no exception.

It's a decent-looking kit, would have been better if the sponsor wasn't trapped inside a white box.

Not too shabby from the Monkey Hangers.

6. Solihull Moors

A very artistic one from Solihull this year.

The yellow and blue work very well together to create quite a fun-looking kit.

Don't think Salvador Dalí had any links to Solihull, but based on this strip maybe he did.

5. Barrow

Barrow are back in the National League with a kit '125 years in the making'.

Having previously worn a blue home jersey, they have now switched to black and white stripes to celebrate their big birthday.

I am also a big fan of the switch to a golden badge for the big occasion.

4. Eastleigh FC

A nice one this from Eastleigh, celebrating their 80th birthday.

Having 'EFC 1946' embedded throughout the kit is a nice touch.

Hard to go wrong with a blue kit with white shoulders, but nevertheless this is a classy one.

3. Southend United

A kit worthy of celebrating a 120-year anniversary.

The navy and yellow together complement each other extremely well and the pattern is solid.

Swapping the badge's colour to yellow brings everything together, would have been higher if the sponsor did the same.

2. Boreham Wood

Not the most adventurous of kits but it looks slick.

It also gets a huge bonus point for having a sponsor that does not look out of place at all.

It's an immense look for The Wood this season.

1. Gateshead

You can't beat a retro kit, can you? This one's a callback to Gateshead's 1993/94 season.

Black and white, half and half, topped off with a collar.

Very 90s, what's not to love!
