Jason Myers had just missed a 53-yard field goal during the Seattle Seahawks’ prior possession.

But when he had a shot at redemption, the veteran kicker took full advantage by wobbling through a game-winning 52-yard field goal to boost the Seahawks over their division rival Arizona Cardinals, 23-20, holding off the home team’s late heroics on Thursday Night Football.

The Seahawks had a commanding 20-6 lead with under 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter, when Kyler Murray started to manufacture a monstrous rally.

The Cardinals' star quarterback connected with Marvin Harrison Jr. deep left for a 16-yard touchdown to complete an eight-play, 73-yard drive to pull the team to within 20-13 of the Seahawks with 5:50 left.

Though Jaxon Smith-Njigba seemingly put a dagger in the Cardinals by hauling in a 36-yard reception from Sam Darnold to put the Seahawks in field-goal range, Myers wound up missing the 53-yard field goal to give the ball back to Arizona with 3:21 left.

That is when Murray authored a 12-play, 57-yard drive, which included an incredible one-hand grab by wideout Michael Wilson on a crucial 4th & 4.

Another clutch reception from Harrison Jr. helped pave the way for Emari Demercado to take a seven-yard pass into the end zone for the touchdown. The extra point after knotted the game at 20 with 28 seconds left.

With momentum on the Cardinals’ side at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, Darnold quietly found Smith-Njigba for a 22-yard pass and Zach Charbonnet rushed up the middle for four yards to put Myers back on the field — this time splitting the upright for the win as time expired.

Darnold finished with 242 yards passing and one touchdown, while Charbonnet finished with 39 yards rushing and one TD. Murray aired it out for 200 yards and two touchdowns, but also tossed two interceptions in the loss.

With the victory, the Seahawks (3-1) created a bit of separation in the NFC West as the Cardinals (2-2) have lost via a last-second field goal for two straight weeks now. The San Francisco 49ers (3-0) will host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday as the NFC West takes further shape.

The Seahawks will face another stern test in Week 5 when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
