The world's richest horse race The Everest runs this Saturday, October 18, 2025, with $20 dollars (£9.8m) on the line in Sydney, Australia, with over 50,000 fans in attendance.
Held at the Randwick Racecourse as part of the Sydney Spring Carnival, 12 of the world's fastest horses will race over a 1,200 metre sprint and it is live worldwide* on DAZN.
The world's best sprinter Ka Ying Rising will be on show, looking to extend his impressive record of 13 wins in a row. Briasa is another star on show, having previously won Sydney's biggest two races at 1,200m.

The Everest takes place on Saturday, October 18, in Sydney, Australia.
The race is set to get underway at 4:15pm in Sydney, which is 6:15am BST, 7:15 CEST, 1:15am ET, 10:15pm PT (Friday).
DAZN's broadcast of the race begins at 6:00am BST / 7:00am CEST.
12 horses run in The Everest, competing for the huge prize pot, with each of the 12 slots to run sold for $700,000.
Hong Kong’s reigning Horse of the Year Ka Ying Rising is one of this year's favourite, despite having recent injury concerns.

The Everest is a Group 1 status race, which has seen the prize pot increase from $15m in 2018 to $20m from 2023 to make it the world's richest horse race.
The races goes on turf over 1,200 metres.
Bella Nipotina won the 2024 edition with Craig Williams in the saddle. Redzel is the only double winner of The Everest, winning in 2017 and 2018.
