The NFL Draft: It's one of the most exciting times of the year for football fans and, thankfully, it's still happening on schedule.
The draft is being held virtually this year, with team staff participating from home, because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. But despite the unusual circumstances, it's still a great opportunity for franchises to find the stars of the future.
Players might not be able to get the traditional hat and handshake from commissioner Roger Goodell, but fans will still be able to watch the entire draft live with a number of TV and streaming options available. Here's all you need to know on how to watch the 2020 NFL Draft in Canada.
The Cincinnati Bengals got the ball rolling with the first overall pick on Thursday, April 23, when the entire first round took place. The draft resumes for the start of the second round at 7 p.m. ET on Friday, April 24. After the third round concludes on Friday night, the final four rounds will take place starting at noon ET on Saturday, April 22.
The amount of time teams have to make their picks gets progressively smaller as the draft goes on. Teams have 10 minutes for each pick in Round 1, and seven minutes for Round 2 picks. There are five minutes for picks in Rounds 3-6, and four minutes for picks in the final round.
TSN3 is carrying ESPN's coverage of the draft for all three days. TSN5 will show Rounds 2 and 3 on Friday night. The NFL Network, which is available in certain cable packages, will also be providing coverage all three days.
In Canada, all three days of the 2020 NFL Draft can be streamed live on DAZN, the global sports streaming service.
DAZN includes access to NFL Network coverage and also offers a free-trial period to new subscribers. No cable or satellite login info is necessary to sign up. A subscription to DAZN is $20 CAD a month or $150 a year.
