With just days until the beginning of the new Premier League campaign — which fans in Canada can watch on DAZN — there has been a flurry of transfer activity among the clubs this summer.

Throughout the league, there are a number of new faces in England's top flight, as well as some big transfers between Premier League sides.

Here are the five new signings DAZN News is most excited about.

Florian Wirtz - Liverpool

There's breaking the bank for a player, and then there's setting a new club record to secure a desired transfer.

Liverpool did the latter for Wirtz, spending a reported £100 million (plus up to £16 million in add-ons) to finalise the 23-year-old's move from Bayer Leverkusen to Anfield. That makes him the sixth most expensive footballer of all time and the player who fetched the largest fee from a Bundesliga side.

With such big money comes massive expectations, and Wirtz is tasked with stepping seamlessly into a Liverpool attack that has lost key figures in Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

Viktor Gyökeres - Arsenal

After two prolific seasons at Sporting, Arsenal expect Gyökeres to continue his free-scoring ways in North London after a transfer that could net the Portuguese side up to £64.1 million.

The Swedish forward scored 68 times in 66 league games for Sporting for an absurd strike rate that drew attention from many suitors. The Gunners ultimately won out, and Mikel Arteta brought the 27-year-old to the Emirates to finally give his side the striker they've been so desperate for.

Benjamin Šeško - Manchester United

There is a lot to fix at Manchester United after a woeful campaign saw the Red Devils finish much closer to relegation than the top of the league.

One of those areas is up front, as United scored the fifth fewest goals of all Premier League teams last season.

Šeško will be the spearhead of a revamped Red Devils squad that has spent big money this summer to gets themselves back into the top half of the table.

Mohammed Kudus - Tottenham

Similar to Manchester United, Tottenham are coming off a nightmare domestic campaign that was saved by an unexpected Europa League title.

The continental hardware was not enough to save Ange Postecoglou's job, as the Aussie has been replaced former Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who spent much of the summer rebuilding the squad through the transfer market.

Kudus is the showpiece of Spurs' offseason shopping spree, and Ghanaian arrives in North London already familiar with the Premier League thanks to two seasons at West Ham United.

João Pedro - Chelsea

Another player who will have little trouble adjusting to his surroundings is Joao Pedro, the former Brighton and Watford man who made an instant impact with Chelsea during the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Brazilian was one of a slew of summer signings for the Blues, who once again showed no hesitation in opening up their chequebook to improve the squad.

At £55 million (plus £5 million add-ons), the 23-year-old is the most expensive of Chelsea's incoming transfers but he has already shown that he can work within Enzo Maresca's system and combine well with Cole Palmer and the rest of the club's attacking corps.
