DAZN's 2025-26 winners: Serie A Manager of the Season

The Serie A season culminates this weekend, but not before we can celebrate what's been a fascinating season in Italy's top flight. 

Last week, we honoured the league's best-performing young player of 2025-26, and now it's the turn of the men in the dugouts.  

Which gaffer has impressed the most to be named DAZN News Serie A Manager of the Season? 

Runners-up

Luciano Spalletti (Juventus)

Juventus looked an unhappy place under Igor Tudor, whose disappointing start to the season was quickly cut short by an October sacking. 

In came the experienced head of Spalletti to turn the Old Lady's season around and get them back amongst the Champions League chasers.

It has been a slow burn, but in the final few weeks of the season, Juve and their latest boss really have started to shine. Can they finish it by completing the job and nabbing a top-four finish?  

Fabio Grosso (Sassuolo)

Having led Sassuolo to promotion last year, the World Cup winner continued his good work in 2025-26 by guiding the team to a mid-table finish in Serie A, while the other two promoted clubs have floundered in a relegation battle. 

The Neroverdi managed big wins against Como and Milan, with the Rossoneri failing to beat them across both meetings this season. 

Grosso's performance won't have gone unnoticed, especially if he carries on the same vein next term. 

Cesc Fabregas (Como)

A manager who has vastly enhanced his reputation in 2025-26, Fabregas is now on the list of every top job following his exploits with Como. 

The club have punched above their weight this season, challenging for a Champions League place and looking likely to at least be in Europa competition next season. 

The Spanish boss has shown a keen adaptability in his approach and a knack for inspiring his troops in what could still be a historic campaign for the side. 

And the winner is... 

Cristian Chivu (Inter)

There could only really be one winner, couldn't there? The man who's led Inter back to the top of Italian football is Christian Chivu. 

It wasn't an easy task either for the club's former defender. The Romanian had to pick up his side following their humiliating defeat to PSG in last year's Champions League final and in his first major job fire and inspire to them to silverware. 

The Nerazurri were ran close in the early goings, but after the turn of the year, there was only ever one team in the title race, and in the end, Inter won the Scudetto at a canter. 

And to really put the cherry on the cake, Chivu made it a league and cup double by nabbing the Coppa Italia, too.
