A summer of global women’s football action – The women’s cup, Washington Spirit international friendlies and more

With The Women’s Cup Global Series leading the charge alongside the Washington Spirit International friendlies, this August promises to be packed with thrilling football action featuring some of the best teams from across the globe. And the best part? All games will be streamed live and free on DAZN. 

The Women’s Cup Global Series: Where the World Meets 

This year’s Women’s Cup is bigger than ever, divided into two tournaments that showcase football talent from every corner of the globe. Kansas City, Missouri, will host Kansas City Current (USA), Atlético Madrid (Spain), Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa), and INAC Kobe Leonessa (Japan). Meanwhile, Louisville, Kentucky, will see Racing Louisville (USA), Juventus (Italy), Palmeiras (Brazil), and Colo-Colo (Chile) battle it out. 

From 9-17 August, fans will witness these incredible teams compete, with the tournament champions moving on to a Final Four in early 2025.  

All these matches will be streamed live and for free on DAZN.

Washington Spirit International Friendlies: Historic Matches 

Adding to the excitement, the Washington Spirit will host the first-ever Washington Spirit International Friendlies at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. This event will feature legendary English clubs Arsenal and Chelsea in a groundbreaking competition. 

Must-Watch Matches 

• August 18, 2 PM ET / 8 PM CET: Washington Spirit vs. Arsenal 
• August 25, 12 PM ET / 6 PM CET: Washington Spirit vs. Kansas City Current (NWSL regular season) 
• August 25, 4 PM ET / 10 PM CET: Arsenal vs. Chelsea 

All these matches will be streamed globally for free on DAZN, ensuring fans everywhere can catch the action. 

Clash of the Champions 

WSL champions Chelsea will also face current NWSL champions Gotham FC in what will be a clash of the champions.

• August 19, 7 PM ET / August 20, 1 AM CET: Gotham FC vs. Chelsea 

The match between Gotham and Chelsea will be available to watch globally for free on DAZN. 

Angel City FC vs. FC Juárez Femenil 

In another exciting friendly, Angel City Football Club (ACFC) will host FC Juárez Femenil at BMO Stadium on August 18. This match will feature unique rules like unlimited substitutions, showcasing the growing influence of women’s football. You can watch this live on DAZN.
