David Raya believes Arsenal "have the capacity" to win the Premier League and Champions League within the next few years.
The Gunners have been runners-up in the Premier League in each of the last two seasons and are on pace to match that feat again this year. In the Champions League, they are into the round of 16 and hope to advance past the quarter-final round for the first time since 2009.
For Raya, who joined the North London club on loan in 2023 before signing a permanent contract last summer, the aim is to not just challenge for major trophies but to win them as well. He feels the club are getting closer to that goal.
"Together, hopefully achieve a lot of things and win a lot of trophies. I think we have the capacity to do it," Raya said on the Seaman Says podcast, brought to you by Betway. "I think as soon as we win the big one, I think the rest will come along because that give us that [belief] to say, 'okay, we've done it now, we can do it again and we can do it again.' You come to Arsenal to win trophies. You don't come here for the run around and the kickabout. You come here, you fight for, trophies and to give happiness to the fans. And I think that's the most important thing.
"My aim in the next years is to win the Premier League and the Champions League for Arsenal. I think that's the most important thing right now."
